My point is I have a sorted past,
which sometimes surprises even me when I think about the things I’ve done. I
often underestimate myself. About five years ago, my boyfriend (of the time)
and I were very involved in the swinging community. We helped manage a swingers
club here in town, hosted BDSM parties with a playroom comparable to the one
described in 50 Shades, and were involved in the production of a porn
film.
Before you ask, no I did not star
in it. I worked behind the camera. I was responsible for make-up. The couple
who were the driving force behind a lot of these events were Marcy and Derrick.
We all had a pretty open relationship, which worked, cause I liked Derrick much
better, and my ex and Marcy hit it off, while I could barely stand her. They
always had these business ventures going on, but I never saw any come to
fruition. They were always in the works, ready to launch in about six months.
So why mention them now? Well they
walked into my bar the other day right when my shift was ending, so for old
times sake, I sat down and had a beer with them. Their latest venture are web
casts. They asked if I’d be interested. Truthfully, not so much. I have a
couple friends who used to do cam, and it was great for them at the time, but now
they’re doing other things with their lives. What’s funny is, despite what I do
now, I am really not comfortable doing cam. I want to have control over who is
watching me. Really, it could be anyone. They could be recording it. I don’t
know. Once it’s on the internet, it’s there forever. Whereas, when I’m with a
client, it’s one on one. When I walk out the door, I wash my hands of it. As
far as I know it’s not being recorded. My friend said she could never do what I
did, and I feel like I could never do what she did. Ironic.
Derrick and Marcy don’t know about
my latest career choice, but they know I used to be pretty DTF. (Down To Fuck).
I was iffy about doing cam, and they told me that this other girl works for
them sells her underwear and stuff. And by stuff I mean, gotch, bra’s, running
shoes, skirts, anything. Now, here is a fetish I don’t understand. I find it
hilarious. This would be something I totally could get behind though!!! But as
we discussed it further, I discovered there still has to be cam in this as
well. The customers want to watch you wearing said item. The girl has to post
video/photos of her riding a bike, or doing yoga, or driving and so on.
Hilarious! But again, that’s where I get iffy. I don’t want my face on-line
doing naughty things.
I told them I would think about it,
and I emailed them asking how much money one could make, and he responded with
a super vague answer, like if you get a thousand clients, and it’s $25/month,
you’ll be making $25,000! Minus overhead, which would be about 40%. That’s such
a non-answer. How much work/time is involved to get a thousand clients.
Now, I know what you’re thinking.
They sound like shysters. They’re not. They’re just entrepreneurial. And that
means they’re self serving. I don’t have any delusions about that. Based on
their vagueness, and the fact that I haven’t seen any websites yet, I’m going
to continue to decline. But what I find really funny is Derrick sent me this
email yesterday…

do not know what you are thinking about for an Adult Entertainment career. We
do say that you have to make the right decision for yourself and we totally understand.
But we have an opportunity that you may be interested in? The project is to
work with Ms Marcy on a Web Site titled ---.com The web site is a Web Cam site
which is aired weekly. The story line is about an Older Generation women living
with a younger generation women. The older women is a Dominant and the younger
women is a submissive brat. They interact
through
sitcom like story lines most of them ending where the Dominant gives the
submissive a spanking. This series would be at least a weekly commitment plus
photo and some video sessions.

I don’t know. Is it wrong that I
find the whole thing hilarious? Normal people don’t get emails like this. I
also find the idea of me being in front of a camera ridiculous. You should have
seen me in Grade 11 drama class. It was bad!!! I will not be doing what they
are talking about. No thank you.
As
for my license. They say it should be ready tomorrow. It’s been three weeks. It’s
about the same amount of time it took last time. Oh bureaucracy.
